"The apartment was as shown in the pictures and the view was beautiful! Private building with doorman and security that allowed only cleared guests kept us as ease. Conveniently located near many shops, restaurants and excursion booking sites. The vendors are on every corner seeking your business for excursions and restaurants. The beach is located across a small street. The vendors there are insistent and overwhelming but the beach is lovely, clean and enjoyable once you pay for seating and repeatedly reply "no gracias" to whatever they're selling. We invested in the house keeper for the week and it was nice to have breakfast prepared as well as some lunches (we were out most days and always went out for dinner). Luz Marina was very pleasant and answered questions about the area (we are fluent in Spanish). She kept our place clean, washed and folded our laundry and left it out for us to claim. It was a nice and necessary service for our family of 8 (ages ranging from 5 to 65).”

TROPICAL PARADISE
Imagine waking up to the sound of waves crashing on the beach and the smell of freshly brewed Colombian coffee. You can eat your breakfast and plan your day on the private balcony watching the fishermen bring in their nets full of fish. Every apartment window faces the ocean, so you feel like you are on a cruise ship. On the balcony, you feel the vibrancy of a Caribbean beach which is filled with the sounds of laughter and dancing. If you want to sunbathe, you can go to the beautiful rooftop pool on the top floor of the building with a breathtaking panoramic view of all of Cartagena. If you prefer to swim in the sea, you can rent a chair and umbrella on the beach and spend a few hours enjoying the crashing waves, fruit vendors who carry their baskets on their heads, and locals hawking everything from pearl necklaces to flip-flops. After a refreshing shower, the day is not complete without a quick taxi ride to the Old City to wander the streets filled with music, art, and Colonial architecture. Cartagena really is a city of magical realism.
